Here's a nice little web page that will help you out when you're struggling for a character name. Allows for ethnically diverse pairings, and gives fake street address and other information.

An amazing site. It even gives you fake addresses and Social Security numbers. But if you're looking for a bit more control over your naming consider:

http://www.20000-names.com/
http://surnames.behindthename.com/

The first can give you good meaningful first names based on a character type (in a rather Dickensian fashion). And the second can give you the meaning behind surnames. Also helpful if you're into portents.

Has anyone seen a name generator that allows you to generate a name based on the number of syllables or a pre-chosen nickname?
