In another post, Barry asked for advice on how to include endnotes in a Storyist file. While Storyist doesn't yet have full footnote/endnote support, creating endnotes is relatively straightforward. I've attached a short example project showing one way to accomplish this.

The basic process is as follows:

  • Add bookmarks at each endnote target. You can name the bookmarks with their number.
  • Drag the bookmark to the location in the document where you want the reference to appear.
  • Edit the reference link to suit your preferences.

maybe I am retarded, but I do not see an attached project. But ok, the process seems to work, but will be clunky if you go back to a chapter and want to add in an endnote as you will have to renumber everything.
