Storyist 2.3.5 is available for download. It adds support for exporting outlines, and addresses several minor issues. Specifically:

• Outlines can now be exported as RTF and OPML. To export an outline, choose File > Export and then choose "Outline" from the Export popup.
  
• The Plot, Character, Setting, and Notebook toolbar icons no longer split the editing view if it isn't already split.
  
• JPEG images are no longer converted to PNG format when exporting to an ePub document.
  
• Pages are now centered properly when running on Lion. Previously, the first time you navigated to a project item, it would be displayed left-aligned rather than centered in certain circumstances.
  
• Default character, plot, and setting images are now presented at the correct resolution in collages on Lion. Previously, they were presented in low-res in certain circumstances.

This release adds performance and RTF compatibility enhancements and addresses several issues. Specifically:

• Typing performance when editing large manuscripts on some older Macs has been improved.
  
• Compatibility with RTF files imported from Word for PC has been enhanced.
  
• Storyist no longer crashes in certain circumstances when assigning sections to character development points.
  
• The goal inspector now correctly displays remaining words and time in addition to words written and elapsed time.
  
• Storyist no longer becomes unresponsive when exporting Final Draft files that contain a script note before the first character in the file.

It adds Kindle export, a theme manager, and several interface enhancements. Specifically:

New Features

• Kindle Export: The exporter can now create Kindle editions of your project for reading on your Kindle and publishing on Amazon.com. (10.5 and later)
  
• Theme Manager: A new theme preference pane allows you to change interface fonts, colors, and background patterns, so you can customize the look of your project. In full-screen mode, you can even specify an alternate font color.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

• The navigation bar background color now changes to reflect the active split view, making it easier to see which split is active.
  
• The main window scrollers now use the iTunes gradient appearance to better match the navigation bar when selected.
  
• VoiceOver navigation has been enhanced.
  
• Typing lag no longer increases significantly for 10-15 seconds after an hour or so of writing.
